Five things to do in the order I'd do them in:
1) Take off all the thread and rethread the machine from scratch, using thread that you know has worked OK before. (This worked for us when we had a similar problem)
2) Use only pre wound bobbins.
3) Clean the needle plate & bobbin case.
4) Try a tension test sew (p160 in the manual)
5) If you are still having trouble. call your dealer!
